Re: Floyds Music store follow-up
Aww...I can't view it because I don't have a TDO membership.
But that is extremely sad.
One of my friends gave me his log-in information. Here's what TDO has to say.
Floyd's Music Store, The Irish Pub and The Lower Lounge on Tennessee Street are closing down permanently said, Charles Jaquet, owner of the three businesses.
In an emailed statement Jaquet said he is being evicted from the spaces on the lower portion of the plaza popularly known as the Tennessee Strip.
"I bought Floyd's on my brothers birthday, January 15, 1999, and now I've been evicted on my mothers birthday, January 12, 2012 with 24 hours to remove 13 years worth of assets from my 15,000 square foot location," he said in the emailed statement.
Jaquet closed the Irish Pub and the Lower Lounge in December due to mold and E-coli contamination. He later went and closed Floyd's for mold.
"I voluntarily closed my businesses after the lab tests showed dangerous conditions inside, yet I feel as if I am being punished for trying to do the right thing to protect the public and my staff," he said in his statement. "I hope that the building will be made safe without my presence and insistence, but it seems as if I was the only person whose primary concern was making the building safe."
