I want cheesecake by the slice... and
individual cupcakes.
Where's the best place to get either? They don't have to be from the same place because I'll get cheesecake on Sunday and cupcakes on Monday 
I refuse to bake my own (which I normally would want to do) because I'll be making a big cake for T's birthday next weekend. But I still want something to celebrate on those two days (mine then his).

I don't know about cheesecake, but there are two "cupcake" bakeries that I know of in Westland and Canton

Canton: Just Baked, www.justbakedshop.com
I haven't been to either, but know people who frequent both places.
