You answered my post so nicely below (http://community.thenest.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/62185484.aspx) that I figured it wouldn't hurt to request a bit more advice if you're willing.
I did follow up with the campus principal and it turns out that they had filled the job internally so there were no outside interviews.
There are 3 additional open positions for this same job throughout the district. One in particular is a new school that has been open for 2 years. I do not have any contacts at this school. Would you recommend contacting that campus principal to introduce myself and inquire about the position? If I do so, by email or by phone?
I've already done a bit of research on this new campus and they don't have anything similar to the position that I'm vying for so I am thinking that I might not have to compete with an internal hire.
I feel like I am asking such petty questions but this process is a bit different than what I am used to and I simply don't want to miss out because I was too aggressive or conversely too timid.
Thanks in advance for any wisdom you might have to share!
Re: *Dr. Loretta* or anyone willing to help...lol
I wouldn't cold call someone you don't know.
I would, however, see if the person you DO know has any interactions with this person. Or knows them. Set up that network!
