Really stupid laundry question
OK, so in MI where we lived we couldn't use fabric softener due to the drainage system or something. So, now we can where we live.
MIL told me that I need to pick either dryer sheets or fabric softener, because they do the exact same thing and it's not necessary to use both.
My mom ALWAYS used both...I thought fabric softener and dryer sheets did different things?

i've only ever used one, but i do use downy unstopables for the awesome smell.
you barely need any it smells good long after it's out of the dryer. totally worththe ridiculous price.
They are the same thing.
I used fabric softener for years. Recently I switched to the Bounce dryer bar and love it.
