Hi All!
Well, I haven't been on too much because life has been pretty hectic with 2 under 2, but I have missed the Nest! Hope you are all doing well, and Happy New Year!
Have a couple easy (I hope) ?'s for y'all. I am just going to list, so please feel free to comment to some/all.
1. Gwen has a cold now (she has seriously been sick her entire 2 months- thanks daycare!
). Kellen vomited at daycare yesterday, and daycare said it has been going through them. Any thoughts on how to keep Gwen from getting this? I have been cleaning constantly, and trying to keep Kellen away from her face, but it is near impossible! Is it bad if a 2 month old gets the stomach flu?
2. I was thinking of getting Kellen a trike. I ordered the Stage 2 thing from JCP, and got the info that mine was canceled and got the free $50. I was thinking of getting him this one: http://www.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6.aspx?GrpTyp=PRD&ItemID=19a6465&DeptID=52440&CatID=78323&SO=0&Ne=6+4+5+8+18+904+949+833&NOffset=2&shopperType=G&N=4294939117&Nao=0&PSO=0&bcCat=3&CmCatId=52440|78323
Is 2 years old too little for this? His birthday is in Feb, so I was thinking of giving it to him for a bday gift, but wondering if I should hold out till this summer (or next)? Also, are trikes cheaper? Maybe I should garage sale this item, or CL? Any thoughts?
3. Any idea where to buy those awesome nasal bulbs (the blue ones) that the hospital gives to you? I haven't found a bulb that has worked as well, and I gave the blue one to daycare, so would like one at home too.
TIA!
Re: Couple kid/baby ?'s
Hi Mama,
So, I will be joining your fun club of 2 under 2 very very soon...I'm kinda a rookie about the first two questions, but I do know where to find a great hospital bulb syringe. I got an extra one a few months ago from the pharmacy at mercy north in Ankeny. I don't remember where you live, but if you so happen to go into a smaller or older kind of pharmacy, I think they have them. Good luck...if you work at principal, my brother runs the pharmacy and he could probably order you one if you needed one too.
Good luck!
I think you are doing all you can not to share the germs. Santitize, wash hands, wash toys and hard surfaces as much as you can. If possible try and keep Kellen and Gwen from each other, but that's nearly impossible. Also remember to wash your hands as you go between the two kids.
Jackson was 2 last Summer (birthday in January) and he loved to ride his trike all summer long. He didn't start to peddal until mid-end summer. I'm not sure I would have liked to have the parent handle on his trike because Jackson was a little beyond that, but we also live in a culdasac where I don't need to worry about venturing off or traffic much.
I always had my mom bring me some of the bulbs straight from the hospital - she works there. If you get in a pinch let me know and I'm sure I could probably get you one.
