omg- Madonna speaks "American" again!

I'm not a big Madonna fan, but it always bugged me that she put on that British accent.....yea, yea, I know her ex husband was British. But she's from Detriot! Anyway, I watched her on 20/20 last night and my, my she seems to speak with an American accent again!  I guess she's moved on to incorporating SAT words into her everyday now with "reductive"

    This thread is snide.  Actually, just the original post is.  I have watched many interviews with Madonna, and she has used big words quite frequently.I like her a lot.

    Is that all you "got?" (I know that got is grammatically incorrect in this case, but it is the common phrase.)

    you like her and I don't- I said that in my original post.

    I'm sure Madonna wouldn't care if my comment was snide because she's a PR genius and would be glad I brought her up and started a conversation.

    have you ever lived anywhere that had a different accent than yours for an extended period of time? i have and i slowly took on their accent. not on purpose, but it just happens. i am back to living in the midwest again, but every now and then i go into a mix of all the places i've lived. i'm kind of a linguistical mutt, i guess. Stick out tongue

    followup:  thought of the op when she won the Golden Globe for Best Song for "Masterpiece" and used the word harangue or harangued, I forget which.
