Happy Saturday!

What does everyone have on their agenda today??

I have been trying to switch back and forth from TK to here. It is too hard! lol. I'm at work and being lazy. Hopefully it is slow today. A coworker called in sick because "he is too tired". I wish I could slap him, but whatever. We still have a lot of snow, but lots of slush.  I could do without the slush. Gross. Everyone tracks it is and our floor here at work looks terrible. But there is no point cleaning it, because it is going to get trashed again. I am excited because we are ordering pizza and breadsticks for dinner! It doesn't take much to please me :)

Re: Happy Saturday!

  • Yum!!  Pizza and breadsticks sounds great!  I am babysitting tonight, so we'll do dinner on our own.  We're just doing some stuff around the house and enjoying our new carpet until I go to babysit.  I'm only babysitting one day this weekend which is a change that I'm enjoying!!
  • I got a late start this morning, but I needed the sleep. I'm getting ready to make myself some lunch. After that, I need to go to the grocery store for the week. I am making cookies and birthday cupcakes for FIL- we're going to their house tomorrow for the Ravens' game and to celebrate his birthday. Tonight, we're going to my grandma's house for dinner before my sisters leave for college this week. We're having roast beef, and all her famous sides :) When we get home, we have to pack for our trip tomorrow (we're staying overnight since we have off for MLK day on Monday).

    Have a good day everyone!

  • We were being lazy. Now H is off changing the oil in his truck and I just threw dinner in the crock pot. Now it's time for me to watch Grey's and cry for an hour most likely. This show is way worse with pregnancy hormones!

  • I am looking at online master's programs this morning. I have a month before any applications are due, but we're still trying to weigh the pros and cons. This is such a huge decision for us and I am unsure what to do! Maybe with a little more research the answer will magically come to me.

That's what I'm hoping for. I'm looking at programs too, and I am having a really hard time with this. I don't really want to get it in the first place, but I have to to keep my certification, so I think that's part of the problem in deciding. I am going to my local college, but I can't decide which track to choose within the Ed. department.

  • Hi ladies! I am being lazy today. We did go grocery shopping today. Tonight we are going to a fire department dinner. I have to behave since H is there to represent our department. Its going to be tough since I used to belong to that department. I am very excited to dress up and look like a girl. I told H i get to be his trophy wife, hahaha. Have a great Saturday ladies!!
  • Wow, nothing makes me feel more lazy than reading what everyone else has already done today.  It is only the 10 o'clock hour here... but we just woke up.

I did do my morning workout!! YAY!! and now we're watching TV and trying to figure out what our day is going to entail.  I think that so far we've decided to go to Costco.

Oh, and I have to figure out what I'm going to give my girlfriend for our gift exchange.  I want to make her peanut butter kiss cookies, but last night I made peanut butter rice krispie treats and they are AMAZING.

I didn't meet the qualifications for one of the programs I considered, so that made it easy for me.  I also talked to my boss about it, and I ended up on the track that he thinks produces better educators.

I was motivated this morning and vacuumed!

  • We woke up really early (7:30) and spent the morning being really lazy.  Then we spent the past couple hours cleaning the whole apartment and doing laundry.  Man...I don't know what we'll do when we have a house.  I'm annoyed cleaning a 1BR apartment!

Tonight we're going to a party hosted by one of our friends, but we won't know anyone else there, so I'm hoping to meet some interesting people.

  • Oh, and Belling, I caught up on Grey's last night and definitely cried for most of the episode!  I don't know why I keep watching that show!

  • My problem is that the program I am most interested in is 3x the cost of the others. I can go to a local, private university and knock it out in one year (which is what I prefer) or I can to go my alma mater pay less and take 16 months. DH wants the less expensive option. However, I am eligible for loan forgiveness so to me, the cost is a moot point.
  • I went shopping earlier since H is doing a painting job this weekend. The stores were having amazing sales! I got a belt, blouse, button down, and skirt for only $30! I'm probably going to just stay around the rest of the day since it's really cold and windy today.
  • We're doing some minor house things, like replacing the old 90s style knobs on the bathroom cabinets.. yuck! Tonight we were gonna go out to dinner and a movie, but we're just keeping the dinner part and going to Redbox. We rented Bridesmaids last night which was highly enjoyable, and I think we'll go for Horrible Bosses or Moneyball (if it's there yet) tonight. I'm VERY much looking forward to eating out tonight :)

  • Hello!  We've had a productive day.  It was Day 2 of House Hunting!  And I think we've narrowed it down to 2 houses.  (I'll post the links in another post) That is very exciting.  I'm thinking we may put down an offer on one of them this week!  We just have to get the pre-approval letter straightened out. This evening, since the IL's are in town, we're going out with all the family for dinner.

  • I've been up since 4am!!  We had a speech meet today, our first one since before break.  Since DH is gone and so is the dog until tomorrow evening, I could not fall asleep at all last night, bagh!  I got maybe 2 hours of sleep, so I really don't know how I made it through judging 4 rounds today, haha.  Anyways, our team got 1st and we got back fairly early.  Now I'm just catching up on pinterest, TN, and hoping I'll fall asleep early tonight.
