Re: A Poll of Random Questions
1) What was your favorite childhood injury?
Not really a favorite, but the one that stands out the most is when I fell and split open the skin right above my right eye. I hit a metal corner and got right back up. After looking at my mom she took off for her bedroom. I remember following her asking what was wrong. I had blood running down my face, but I didn?t cry. I had to get stitches. I was not a fan of the doctor who removed them since they were in my eyebrow and he kept pulling hair out.
2) If your house was on fire and you could only grab 3 things before leaving, what would they be? Assume all pets and people are safe.
The laptop- all our photos and personal data is stored on it.
Firebox- all of our important papers are in there. Soc security cards, birth certificates, wedding video and picture dvds, etc.
K?s blankie is the only other thing I can think of that is really important. He loves his blankie so much.
3) What is your worst dating experience?
I was a freshman in high school and had been dating this guy for 3 weeks. A party was coming up and I was freaking out about the pressure to make out if we went together. So in my panicked state I had a friend break up with him for me. I know it wouldn?t have lasted anyway, but I?m disappointed in my cowardness.
4) When was the first time you had beer?
Around 15. Doesn?t stand out as any time specific.
5) Name one thing you miss about being a kid.
Sharing chores. Everything falls to me to do. All cleaning, laundry, folding, etc. Sure H may do some things, but the lion?s share falls to me, and I hate it!
My Profile
1) What was your favorite childhood injury? I don't have one that stands out. Like at all. I didn't really get injured ever. No ER trips, no stitches, no broken bones. Nothin'.
2) If your house was on fire and you could only grab 3 things before leaving, what would they be? Assume all pets and people are safe. In no particular order: our hard drives (pictures, important files etc etc), wedding rings, I guess our phones. I feel like I always talk about Katrina, but dudes we left with next to nothing and lost everything and I just don't put important value on many things anymore. It's all just STUFF. That can be replaced.
3) What is your worst dating experience? Hmm... I can't say I have one. I met and started dating Jimmy before I even graduated high school so I didn't experience a lot. Can't count high school drama can I? Didn't have much anyway. ha.
4) When was the first time you had beer? I think I was 17. Random party at a friend's house.
5) Name one thing you miss about being a kid. No responsibility. Always having breakfast/lunch/dinner prepared. Naps. The excitement surrounding a birthday party.

My Bio
2) If your house was on fire and you could only grab 3 things before leaving, what would they be? Assume all pets and people are safe. I'd say my cell phone, but I always have it on me. I don't travel 2 feet without it. So the only thing I can think of that I'd grab would be Gunnar, my stuffed bunny that I've slept with every night since I was 3. Yes, 25 years later, I still sleep with it. Some mornings I find J curled up with it lol
3) What is your worst dating experience? I don't think there are enough hours in the day. So, let's just say just about everything from age 14-21.
4) When was the first time you had beer? I was 3. I grew up in a very European-minded house. I'd have a little bit of wine with dinner as a kid (watered down, of course) but when my dad had a beer, I'd throw a tantrum. He's find a small shot glass and give me a taste that I'd hold with 2 hands and sip while watching the ball game with him.
5) Name one thing you miss about being a kid. Spending hours playing. My best friend and I would have week-long episodes playing with our Barbies. We had it all.. the cars, the clothes, the Ken dolls, and a doll house we decided was better put to use for the Skipper dolls.
1) What was your favorite childhood injury? I wouldn't call any of them a favorite. I was a seriously clumsy child. When I was about 5 I was in a moon bounce and fell face first into this bigger kids knee and broke my nose. A few years ago I had surgery to try and repair it and still have almost daily sinus pain from it.
2) If your house was on fire and you could only grab 3 things before leaving, what would they be? Assume all pets and people are safe. My purse, car keys and cell phone. I was going to say fire safe with important documents but that this is a heavy bugger and isn't that the point of it being a firesafe that you don't have to run and grab it. I'm with NOLA on this its all just stuff that can be replaced.
3) What is your worst dating experience? I did a lot of online dating. This one time this guy picked me up from my parents house. Looked nothing like his picture and was just really ... odd. He took me to the aquarium where I had just been on a date with this really hot guy a few nights before. We are standing inline to buy tickets and the ticket lady calls for the next person. I walked up to the window and she said just one? I turned around and he was at the next window buying his own ticket!! So I said no thank you. Pretended I had bought a ticket walked up to the doors with him and told him I had to use the ladies room. I ran right out of there and got a cab and went home.
4) When was the first time you had beer? My Sr year of highschool stands out in my mind, but Im sure I probably had one before then. My mom was pretty open about letting me drink if she was around. My dad not so much.
5) Name one thing you miss about being a kid. SNOW DAYS!!
1) What was your favorite childhood injury? This question makes me laugh. None of them!!! The main one I remember though is the day my brother accidentally whacked me in the head with a broomstick and split my head open. My mom was sick that day and puked everywhere from the sight of the blood. I know I didn't get stitches or anything, but I still have a dent in my head there.
2) If your house was on fire and you could only grab 3 things before leaving, what would they be? Assume all pets and people are safe. I'd like to say my jewelry box, purse and the computer, but I'd probably be so freaked I'd grab like a random pair of boots, some dirty pajama pants and a spatula.
3) What is your worst dating experience? I really didn't go on many dates. I had a lot of drunken hookups. I'm sure I couldn't narrow one down to "the worst", but one guy told me to go brush my teeth and then suck his wiener b/c he liked the "cool" sensation. I was so grossed out by the thought of using his toothbrush (...I know, I know...should have been grossed out by the wiener) that I high tailed it out of there and had to walk to my friend's apartment, only to have her not answer so I slept at her super mean neighbor guy's apt. It sucked.
4) When was the first time you had beer? My dad always drinks beer and I know I had sips all the time. The first time I had my own beer was when I was 15. I got so drunk off of four Bud Dry beers in this field with my friends. It was very entertaining.
5) Name one thing you miss about being a kid. Wearing matching sweatsuits all the time in the winter. When I'm an old lady I'm so wearing those velour sets every day.
1) What was your favorite childhood injury? when i was five i dropped an antique iron (the kind that would be put on a fire to warm. the handle detached from the bottom. my mom used it as a door stop) on my toe and broke it. the toenail popped off and my mother had to put excuciatingly painful medicine on it for days. it was awful.
2) If your house was on fire and you could only grab 3 things before leaving, what would they be? Assume all pets and people are safe.
wallet, cell phone, car keys
3) What is your worst dating experience?
i went to a fraternity formal in breckenridge, colorado in college. i actually didn't like the guy at all, and had a long distance boyfriend at the time, but really wanted to go so i said yes. my date was an *** and almost got us kicked out of the hotel for urinating in the elevator.
4) When was the first time you had beer?
as a child my dad would give me sips of his while he was working on his car.
5) Name one thing you miss about being a kid.
having all my decisions made for me. the exact thing i hated about not being an adult. sometimes i just wish someone else would take the reigns every once in awhile.
