Best place to search for listings

Hi,

My husband and I will be looking to buy a house this spring/summer and I have been looking at houses online to see what is out there. I have noticed some homes are listed on realtor.com but then not zillow or trulia or visa versa. My question is what is the best site for a comprehensive listing on homes available?

Re: Best place to search for listings

  • Are you working with a realtor yet?  Our realtor set us up with an account on Listingbook, which has a direct connection to the MLS database.  We've found Zillow, Trulia, etc. to often have outdated information, which can waste time and energy.

  • Majority of MLS listing will appear on Realtor.com, which is the public website run by the National Association of Realtors. Also check to see if your local realtors association has their own public website with MLS listings. In RI, we have RIliving.com which has listings from the RI MLS database.

  • I really liked looking at redfin best and felt that it had the best search. I didnt run into any listings that weren't on there but I can't say for sure.
