For the holidays, DH wanted me to have his beloved leather jacket repaired (our dog that we rehomed ripped the sleeve THE DAY we adopted her last year). I visited tailors and leather repair shops but they all said it would be a $60ish repair that would not look that great. His parents ended up buying him a new jacket anyway so...
I know some of you ladies are crafty and I'm sure someone works with or wants to learn to work with leather, right? Well, I'd love to give you his jacket to play with! It's black, Kenneth Cole Reaction, size Large with a zipper closure and a collar. It's very plain (no embelishments, not motor cycle style) and classic. It's a butter soft leather that has minimal wear, he only had it for a year before the pup tore the sleeve. The tear is on the right sleeve, just above the wrist. It's kind of like a triangle with the seam on the bottom, two 1-1.5 inch tears make the sides of the triangle (they meet and make a point).
I'll donate it in the next week or two if no one wants it so reply here or PM me if you're interested!
Re: Anyone crafty with leather and want a FREE jacket?
PAIF and SAIF welcome. IVF questions welcome, too.
You got it! PM me and we can meet up (or I can ship it if it's inconvenient)! Side note, he likes his new jacket but he LOVED this one : ( It's okay though, the new one was a gift and who's going to argue? ; )
