Anyone ever booked through EuropeanDestinations.com?

I found a great deal on there, but am a little skeptical to book without hearing reviews.  We found a trip to itally for 11 days including first class air fare, hotels, and a car rental for 7 days for $5900.  Anyone else used them?

Holy crap- that IS a good deal. Are they running a special?

  • Yes, we booked our honeymoon, also to Italy through that site.  They were great, we had no complaints.  Our last trip we booked everything ourselves.

Make sure you cross check the hotels through Tripadvisor or some other site.  Often times, their hotels aren't in the most ideal locations.  The hotel selections when we took our last trip in 2011 didn't seem as great as it was in 2007.

  • I did, after hearing about them from the nest.  Definitely not a scam and I thought the prices were good but then again, I don't have a huge amt. of experience in booking internat'l vacs, I was also going alone so I didn't mind paying a little extra to have everything arranged for me.

France-8 nights hotel with breakfast, TGV tickets, and air (Air Canada) with insurance cost me a little over $2k.   My train tickets arrived in advance and I was able to print all of my hotel vouchers (4 hotels) online as well.  There were no problems w/ transporation & all of the hotels were what I would have expected for the price category.

I'm using them again for Amsterdam, Bruges, and Paris in May-got some higher quotes for the train than I would have expected but overall for me and a GF, approx. $4k for 9 nights, round trip air on Lufthansa (loved them), insurance, and train from Bruges to Paris.   Here's hoping that this time will be just as smooth.

Did you purchase your insurance through them or third party vendor? What kind of insurance does it provide?

  • We booked our 2009 Italy trip through them and had a great experience.   Most of it was done via email, and they were always quick to reply with questions we had.  We got everything well in advance of the trip, as promised, and had a wonderful time!
