We all know it and read it for fun from time to time but how many people here actually believe in it? maybe not the whole compatibility stuff with other signs but just the explanation. I'm an Aries on the Zodiac and the describtion of what an arian is suppose to be and act is pretty dead on and as I read the description of the other signs and compare it to the people I knew. It made a lot more sense to me then trying to figure out why they acted a certain way or why we would get into fights more then another friend I knew.
My questions to my fellow peers are as follow:
What sign are you? Do you believe in the explanation of your sign? Do you care for what they say about the Zodiac compatibility? What do you think about the New Zodiac they mentioned?
Re: The Zodiac
Hi, Zaitel.I'm so glad you asked this question! Too often astrology is misunderstood and underestimated as not practical. The truth is, the planets affect our daily lives more than we know, and if we only move with the flow instead of resisting it, our lives will bring goodness, clarity, and growth to our lives.
I am a Libra, and I can most certainly relate to the traditional definition. Librans often become judges, psychologists, and social workers because they focus on balance and fairness...things have to make sense in a logical way, and they are often very easy-going and relateable to others because they can see both sides of the coin.
Hope this helps! One of my favorite websites for planet insights is mysticmedusa.com, which has awesome practical advice using the Zodiac.
I am a Gemini and I fit the Gemini traits almost completely (I struggle with foreign languages).
My partner is a Libra (considered an optimal match) and we are an excellent fit. I have dated men/had friends from a variety of signs and really have found that I work best with certain groups (Aries, Libras, Leos, Sagittarius and Aquarius) and have a rougher time with the rest.
I have been reading Rob Brezsny's weekly astrology column for decades now. He is amazing, if occasionally cryptic. I also read Minerva's Sunday column in the SF Chronicle.

why do you need her to say something for you?
I think it's fun to read about, but it's not something I'd base plans or decisions on.
I'm an Aquarius, the description has always been spot on for me.
The "new" Zodiac doesn't do much for me, the original has been around for thousands of years, and I don't really think the new one means much.
My most successful relationships have been with men who were of a compatible sign. Dh is definately a compatible sign as well, but I don't usually find it out until after we've started dating.
.rosenjoe: Alright well maybe she'll comment on here.
KurtsWife09: Are you now? Nice, I just met a Aquarius not that long ago. Would your DH happen to be Aries as well?
Fallin- True, I don't ether but still find it interesting
The zodiac isn't make or break it for me. I don't put a bias on people before I get to know them. But I do find it to be pretty good at describing people's personalities. (For example, I've had trouble getting close to Aries, because I find them to be bossy/controlling. It makes me uncomfortable! Nevertheless, it didn't stop me from trying to date one once...disaster! LOL.)
I fit my Cancer traits well, since I'm pretty sensitive, usually introverted, and like to be nurturing to family/friends/etc. My husband is a Scorpio and we're a really awesome match for each other. So that worked out well.
I think it's interesting and fun. But other things should definitely be considered!
daria: If your talking correlate between two Aries, they say it can be difficult because both want to be the boss but if they can learn to step down time to time and let the other lead, it can be beneficial.
nyc: I can relate to that with my own experience with a cancer, didn't go well.
Hah looks like the regulars of this board aren't even bothering with this one, oh well.
No - I'm saying that I don't know if I'm a b**ch because I'm an Aries. DH is um...a Libra, I think? I don't really pay attention to this stuff.
If you mean by a regular responding? Sure. Next time I'll come up with something that even regulars can respond to and not roll their eyes.
daria: Probably since I'm like that as well sometimes but since i'm a dude, its asswh0le vs b!tch.
