So, I'm supposed to be studying for my driving exam but it's a lot more fun to procrastinate thinking of things to do on Easter vacation.
What would you think about this road trip:

Where should we stop in? What should we see? DH loves history, and I'm pretty much happy seeing/experiencing anything new. My French is terrible and my German nearly non-existent, but I have no shame and am willing to find ways to communicate. Any budget-friendly thoughts?
Re: Bilbao-Munich Roadtrip
We did a Naples to San Sebastian via Bordeaux drive last summer. St Jean du Luc and St Emilion were both nice stops on the French side.
If you wouldn't mind adding some miles, Carcasonne was fun for an overnight too.
I haven't been to Annecy, FR yet, but it's on my list (hopefully this summer) hear great things.
Have fun!
Before Easter or after? If before, you could consider keeping north from Mulhouse to go through Freiburg and Stuttgart on your way to Munich, which would bring you very close to both me and ctgirlgermany. I'm sure we could think of something to do :-) The town I live in has a university that was founded in 1477, and it wasn't touched in WWII since there's no industry of note here, so the old city is indeed old. Plus just about 30 min away is this caste: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hohenzollern_Castle
If you're going after Easter, then I won't be here since we'll be headed to the States on Apr 13th!
