it's been hailing hard for 30 straight minutes, none is melting. Thunder is to follow, and Maggie is already tweaking. We are expecting snow tonight and tomorrow, though they say no accumulation. However, tonight and tomorrow night temps will get below freezing, and all the precipitation will freeze on the roads...
Ice on the roads + holiday weekend + coastal tourist town = EMS nightmare
So much for David's one day off tomorrow...
Since we've lived here the coast has had the weirdest winter weather freak storms in YEARS. We should NEVER get snow, we are at such a low elevation (our house is like 50 ft above sea level... if that) this will be the THIRD time in two years we've had snow. sigh.
Re: whine
This winter has been bizzare... Up here we've generally been living with -40 C for at least a week, and this year the coldest we've seen at night is -25 C, and in the day time, -14 C. We also have only a couple inches of snow, which we can usually expect double-triple of.
I'm not complaining by any means, I can live with this very happily. I cannot recall another year that I've been able to go outside in a short sleeved sweater and be comfortable in mid-January. I would LOVE to keep this weather!!
I'm sorry your weather sucks though
Hopefully it gets better soon!
