Can someone explain diaper cake to me?
My SIL made a "diaper cake", but it's a tricycle similar to this one:
This is her current facebook status:
If
you give a diaper cake as a gift make sure the new mom knows what it
is. Mom-to-be had no idea what it was a just ripped the entire thing
apart. Leaving just a pile of ribbons & diapers on the table. I
was sooooo bummed
All these people are replying in like "OMG 0 how to you not know what a diaper cake is??? Duh!!"
....and now I'm totally confused. Is this not just a cute way to give diapers? Aren't you supposed to cut it apart?? I don't want to ask her b/c she's obviously annoyed at the situation, but can someone clue me in? What else are you supposed to do with the thing? Just have it sit there??
Always Painted,Usually Chipped

Those are nice. I wouldn't disassemble the thing in the party. I could see why she's upset. Maybe the girl tought there was something more in it.
