So, the book in which one of my essays is published is now available on Kindle. I got a note from the publisher saying that, for 24 hours, the book would be FREE on Kindle, with the 24-hour window beginning on midnight (PST) on Monday, January 16.
So, I checked this morning, and it is not listed as free. I e-mailed the publisher, and she responded that the 24-hour window begins midnight PST as in about 16 hours.

Um, yeah, that's midnight Tuesday, January 17. I'm sure the publisher confused a lot of people with her mass e-mail of this incorrect info.
Re: :-/
Since they made that mistake. . . can I get it for free?
Simple mistake. Hopefully they can correct it in time.
Yeah, I was going to post the link today, but I'll just wait until tomorrow when it's actually within the window!

OMG, now she's arguing with me about it...sort of.
"not sure we're tracking together at all, Elizabeth! but after we go to bed tonight, January 16, when midnight comes PST, Amazon will change the marker to $0.00 for Flashlight Memories on Kindle. after we've gone to bed tomorrow night, Tuesday, January 17, when PST midnight comes, the price will revert"
Does she really not know that midnight begins the new date? If nothing else, has she ever seen the clock strike midnight on New Year's??
