I hate this day.
I barely slept at all last night because I am an excessively light sleeper and DH is a night owl. So I was randomly waking up to little noises he was making. We live in a small apartment and while I can't hold it against him because I know he was trying to be quiet... I'm still angry and tired.
It's 17 degrees outside. That's before you subtract and get to the real feel which I'd estimate to be hovering around "freezing the tears in your eyes" degrees.
On my way to work this morning, my check engine, traction control and cruise control lights all turned on at once! This has happened to me once before and I was able to fix it by tightening my gas cap and resetting the lights. But now that it's happened again, it's time to get it to the shop. My suspicion is a bad intake sensor or a crack somewhere in the intake combined with the f'ing cold air. Luckily the shop said it's a common thing and ok to drive as long as the check engine light doesn't start flashing. But still. So not cool.

My right eye is one big hive and it itches like hell. I wanted to stay home and be a baby today but I have too much going on to miss a day.
Also, the shop the replaced the windshield on my brand new car didn't put in a heated windshield. I questioned them on it and they lied. The dealer confirmed this for me this weekend. Someone is going to feel my fu.cking wrath.
GL with your car, fein!! That's frustrating. Hopefully it's just a quick fix or a weird quirk. My car likes to flash all dashboard "OMG something's wrong" lights at once and beep at me. Nothing is ever wrong, it's just a VW.
I do have a couple things that I will whine about. One is ... it's -4 degrees here. I should be used to winter by now, 27 years in, but every year I get a little bit more disgruntled by it!
Yesterday, I tweaked the right side of my back trying to hurl a giant trash bag into my giant outdoor trash can. It's not feeling so great and I'm hoping it calms down before yoga tonight!
I'm sofuckingsick of cleaning and packing. Saturday I spent all day packing up my condo, yesterday I spent most of the day doing chores around the house, and this evening I'll be back at the condo to pack some more. BF has probably done more than me since my elbow and wrist are still wonky, but still. I want a lazy weekend. I won't get it next weekend either since it's moving weekend and I'll be in an all-day training session on Sunday. Andplusalso, Sunday is BF's birthday, so I have to figure out how I'm going fit making mac & cheese and a birthday cake in there.
Oh, and I discovered that the door I accidentally kicked in at my condo is a custom size. I mean, of course it is. So much for that $25 fix from Home Depot. Looks like I'll be calling around to contractors today.
I got my tax paperwork from my old mortgage company, which reminded me that I have my final showdown with XH looming on the horizon. I'm pretty sure only one of us gets to claim the house on the taxes and that's the one thing not spelled out in the divorce settlement. The idea of talking to that assface again makes me panicky. A large part of me just wants to mail the paperwork over to him and let him have it, but another large part of me wants my moneez.

I have to go to Physical Therapy tonight for my knee and I'm so tired I'd much rather go back to bed. I am so mad that I let my knee get this bad.
Fein - have you tried adding a background noise to the bedroom? We sleep with a fan and it's just enough noise that I can't hear FI in the living room when I go to bed earlier than him, but not enough to keep me awake at night.
Ugh Bowies - cleaning and packing is the worst.
My complaint is that I'm watching the today show with my coffee this morning and ohmygod Hoda and Kathie Lee are the absolute worst. And they're drinking wine at 10am? What?
Our apartment is basically a loft, so we have no doors seperating us. I usually sleep with earplugs in and just turn the dishwasher on when I go to bed. Normally that's enough but last night I was no having it. I think I was stressing out. I go back to school tomorrow for a GMAT prep course.
Also, wine at 10AM would be very good today.
Abby is teething...That means she is a crab, but I do feel for her.
I have allergies & a cough right now that are annoying.
My H has a cold. While I understand that he is miserable if he complains one more time I am going to explode. We all feel like crud in the house, OMFG deal with it buddy.
Instead of losing it on him I made him some hot water with lemon, and had him take some cold medicine. I really think men are such babies sometimes.
I hate that DH is living three hours away during the week. I miss him and want him home. I know he feels the same way. There just isn't any work in his field around here at the moment.
Ha! My VW Beetle used to do that to me. I miss that car.
My local A plus stopped getting in HYPER BEAN!? Glad this worlds ending in just a few months...

I don't miss my VW Beetle for a second. I like getting to keep most of my money instead of handing it over every week to the VW dealership.

I had mine for 10 years; once I put a piece of black tape over the check engine light and took it in for service per the manual/mileage, my life was a lot happier. A relative drives it now, it's still chugging along!
Toddler Malibu has a massive ear infection and bronchitis. I have bronchitis and pneumonia. Husband Malibu is coming down with the cold that started it all. We did not get much sleep this weekend and I'm tired and cranky today.
Andplusalso...my coworker felt it necessary to describe her digestive issues in great detail before leaving for the day. I'm assuming it's so we know just how sick she really is to need to go home, but really, I didn't need color/consistency details when I'm trying to eat my potstickers.
