Do some of you have the day off? If so, I has a jealous.
Derek got home last night around 7:30. It was really nice to have him home again. Sadly, he didn't end up having much fun. He said the snowboarding was a good experience, but he's never doing a trip with just those guys again.
Saturday I spent a good hour setting up our registry at Babies 'R Us. The store I was at was pretty small, so I had to go back and add a bunch of things online after, and they still don't even carry some of the things I wanted. Damn me for being prepared and doing research first! I'm thinking of maybe setting up an Amazon registry too? Good idea? Bad idea?
I started prep for dinner last night, so tonight there is no excuse for not cooking my planned, relatively healthy dinner. Also, I want to get in a workout.
How was everyone's weekend?
Re: Happy Monday!
I'm here. Wish I had a holiday though.
We had a good weekend. We actually made it to the gym both days, which feels good - I think my holiday bloat is finally subsiding a bit. I got my hair cut and had a good acupuncture session. We saw Sherlock Holmes on Saturday night, which was lots of fun. I cooked a big soup and a big pasta dish which will do us a bunch of lunches and dinners this week. And we booked upcoming weekends in Bordeaux and Amsterdam! So all in all, good and productive!

Aw, poor Derek! I hate it when trips with people end up sucking.
Seriously Sushi. Pictures of all of these adventures. I haz jealous.
I'm having a seriously craptacular day. I woke up at 3 am with horrible IBS cramps and I'm off - again. I'm going to run out of sick days at this rate. I'm SO sick and tired of doctors pretty much telling me there's nothing that can be done to help me get some relief from this. It's not even that I feel that awful, but when you're tied to a bathroom, it's very, very difficult to do your job.
Tonight, I have a friend coming over to watch The Bachelor. We'll eat a ton of super healthy food, and play with my new Sodastream that Phil gave me as a birthday present.

Good morning, ladies.
I worked Saturday, and I'm working today. Such is the life of a CPA between January and April.
Have a great day, everyone!
OOOoOooOoOOoooo Sodastream! I foresee you making some really neat soda's. I'd just be making soda water. All.the.time.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
This weekend was good. We were at a leadership conference and it was quite enjoyable. We have another conference this weekend which we are both looking forward too, they put us up in a really nice place.
Not much planned for today other than going to the gym this evening after work. I plan on finally getting some meal planning done too.
Good morning!
We had a pretty good weekend. Saturday we just stayed home and yesterday we had dinner with my family. And bought a new duvet! Can't wait to try it out.
Today I am bringing in the little guy for his 6-month checkup. 6 months! Also, his next round of shots. Boo.
raynes, I remember when I set up my BRU registry, they told me I could also use the code in the catalogue to add items. I don't know about Amazon... I didn't think amazon.ca had that much baby stuff?

Good morning ladies. Pretty uneventful weekend here. Jason's mon came up from California to see the baby. It was her and his step dad, his step brother his wife and their 2 kids. One is about 2 and the other is only 8 days older than Hayden. Needless to say, I'm glad to have my house back. Besides the fact that her and I don't get along, that's a lot of people to deal with.
I think today my sister and I are going to try to go shopping. She wants to go to the mall. I guess we should break Hayden in early!
Other than that, nothing big going on here.hope you guys have a good day!
Morning ladies.
I'm here, which of course I wish I wasn't. Blah, I'd rather be in bed.
Friday night I ended up meeting up with friends at a local dive bar. It was fun, but I left by 11. I just couldn't deal with all the odd people. (ages range from 2-80 in this place).
Saturday we dropped the boys off around noon, and DH and I did some shopping before meeting up with friends. We went out to dinner then over to another friends house to watch the Pats/Broncos game.
Today is a busy day at work, then I have to hit the grocery store since I didn't do it this weekend.
Have a great day ladies.
good morning!
I did absolutely nothing all weekend and it felt glorious. I finally watched The Help and loved it. I was surprised that I actually liked it after reading the book, but they did a great job. I also finished reading Fallen by Lauren Kate and started Hollowland by Amanda Hocking (recommended by jerseyjess... I'm already 83% through it).
I decided to go ahead and drop the two classes I was registered for. I just feel like the timing isn't right - I don't want to add extra stress during this pregnancy, and I definitely don't think it's the right time to be switching to part time work.
I'm at work today, booooooo.

I'm a work today boo. But I do have good news last week Dh was contacted by a recruiter someone he's worked with before recommended him and he's got some job interviews lined up. He also got a raise where he is at currently which has been long overdue. I am really proud and excited for him and can't wait to see what happens.
As for me I've been fighting a cold so was really lazy this weekend. I also realized that all my hard work running and working out has fallen to the wayside and I really need to get back into a routine. It's hard when it's gloomy out and I haven't been feeling well.
I have the day off. I'm getting ready to leave the house now because I have already pack the day too full.
I'm going to meet Jim at the pool, then I need to go to PetSmart, Staples and the grocery. I'm getting a tattoo at 1:00 (I'll PIP when it's done) and I want to bake bread (thank goodness for the bread machine) and I'm going to roast 2 chickens.

I'm super hungover and wish I had the day off.
Friday night I went to dinner with J's cousin. I thought we were supposed to be having a fun girls night but it turned out she actually just really need someone to talk to about some problems she's having in her marriage and potentially filing for divorce. It was a pretty somber evening.
I don't even want to talk about Saturday --- Damn Broncos.
Sunday we had my mom's 50th birthday surprise party. Everything went really good and I think she was really surprised. We all went in on a Pandora charm bracelet for her. We each picked a charm for her that represents us, like I got a pink flip flop from me, my nephew Brandon got her a teddy bear charm (we call him Brandon Bear), a dirt bike helmet charm from my BIL etc. She loved it and started bawling, it was really sweet.
I also got to spend some time with my sister who's visiting from Iowa. She told us yesterday she's lost a total of 96lbs so far, I'm so proud of her!
Today I'm going to lunch with my mom and sister and then hopefully getting out of work a bit early to do some shopping with them.
Good morning. Also have the day off over here--right now we're doing laundry and I'm getting started on some review edits. Later it's the gym and some cooking for the week.
The weekend was nice--got to the gym both days, finished my book for review, and got a lot of chores out of the way. Nothing too special, but it was relaxing all the same. After a really crazy week, the quiet was welcome!
Hope everyone's have a good one.
Morning everyone. I'm off today, but I'll be working at home for a large portion of the day. Other than that, B and I are headed to the dr for my 1st try scan. I'm excited. I'm hoping my body will get the message, and my ms will disappear soon.
Our weekend was pretty chill. Saturday, I hung out with my mom, and yesterday I tackled some work I didn't get to during the week. Casey is back at the vet today for a bandage change. He's not allowed to go up and down stairs for another week, which has been really difficult. We have a very small den/workout room on our first floor. B has been hanging out with him down there, but poor guy really wants to go upstairs to where he normally hangs out.
I'm home today, but only because daycare is closed. It was easier than finding a sitter and going to work. Thankfully, it's a floater at work, so I don't have to kill another vacation day.
I'm still waiting for an offer from the job I interviewed for before the holidays. Turns out one of the partner's sons has been in for surgery, so no idea when I'll ever hear from them. I'm glad I have an inside source, but it's making it worse, since I know they decided to hire me. It's even worse knowing what's coming up at my current job. I'd really like to be gone by the time March rolls around. It's going to be miserable with weekend events and long hours.
I've been attempting to teach myself how to crochet again and make a beanie. I'm also in the middle of trying to sew bumpers for Jackson's crib. Lots of projects going on today, all while taking care of a pukey baby. I can't wait until DH gets home to help take over for a bit.
Morning ladies. We had a nice weekend and had equal time relaxing at home and out visiting family and friends.
The minute I walked into work this morning I wanted to leave. Hopefully the rest of my day will go by fast and I can go home and lay down.
Enjoy your day ladies, especially those who are off today.
Yay, Monday! lol
Today was ok. I got up early to hit the gym before work and then headed out to smaller hospital to work. I'm at the small hospital the next 3 days.
We might be having some kind of outbreak at the hospital. Over the weekend several patients developed severe nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. I'm really hoping it's not C Difficile or Norovirus or anything like that. I'm hoping infection control has some ideas tomorrow and if it's something serious, I will be requesting to work remotely for Wednesday. I usually don't care and I'm just careful, but being pregnant I don't want to take the risk if there is something serious going around.
I finally got my letter today confirming my transfer to permanent part time. This is great news because it means I have a job to come back to after my maternity leave. Now I just need to get hold of HR and find out how long an employee needs to be permanent before qualifying for top up for mat leave. I'm hoping it's something shorter than a year since I only went permanent part time last April 11th and this baby is due April 17th. I'm thinking I must have asked this last year and can't imagine that I would have chosen to cut things this close. Otherwise, this baby hopefully doesn't come early!
