Meal Plan Monday!!!

Today is the first Meal Plan Monday!!!  Hopefully we can all gather some ideas and new recipes, as well as getting our meals organized for the week!

Re: Meal Plan Monday!!!

  • This week and next, I've made a point of eating what I have in the freezer and fridge.  I plan on only grocery shopping for the bare essentials (fresh fruits and veggies and milk if we need it)... 

    Monday: Cowboy Spaghetti (Basically meat sauce with a kick!), Spinach Salad

    Tuesday: Bisquick Chicken Fingers (The recipe on the back of the bisquick box!)  and garden veggies (the frozen green giant kind I think)

    Wednesday: Pizza with Turkey Pepperoni and sweet peppers (I may even add some goat cheese and spinach to my half Wink we'll see what kind of mood I'm in!)  Some sort of veggie, probably side salad.

    Thursday: Flank Steak fajitas with sweet peppers and onions, lettuce, tomato, cheese and sour cream on corn tortilla shells.

    Friday: Leftovers!  Whatever is left from the week or grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup!

     

    Lunches: spinach salads, wraps with lettuce, tomoato, turkey pepperoni, cheese and mustard, or canned soup!  Dh will probably take some leftovers...

  • Monday- I work late so no dinner together (tear). 

    Tuesday- Blackened chicken sandwiches with homemade baked french fries and steamed broccoli. 

    Wednesday- Chicken fried rice with broccoli.

    Thursday- Hells Kitchen Chili which is so good.

    Friday- Leftovers from Thursday.

    Saturday- I work late so no dinner together.   

    Lunches-  I have been on a soup kick but may switch back to my good old stand by of a turkey sandwich or a PBJ.

  • I'm having a lot of trouble with this.  Nothing sounds good this week!  Here's what I've got:

    Monday: leftover veggie tacos from yesterday

    Tuesday: homemade pizza?

    Wednesday: balsamic chicken maybe

    Thursday: leftovers

    Friday: burgers

    Saturday: leftovers since I won't be around

  • The days may switch around a bit, but here's the plan:

    Tonight: Some 12-bean something w/ rice (looks like red beans & rice, but we shall see) that MIL/SFIL brought when they stopped by this weekend.

    Tues: Chicken Divan that MIL/SFIL left for us

    Wed: Paella (not authentic, but tasty)

    Thurs: Bowtie pasta w/ chicken, red onion, bacon, and alfredo sauce

    Fri: Pork chops

    Sat: Pot Roast

    Sun: Chicken Fricasee (or maybe chinese take out)

    Since we're eating stuff the inlaws brought over, we'll probably be doing stouffer's meals for a few lunches, then left over paella and pasta at the end of the week.

  • I've got nothing, this is something I should do though, but it's hard cooking for 1 1/2 people (the kids don't eat a lot right now).

    Tonight: leftover pizza from yesterday (Chicago style deep dish, yum)

    Tues: ?

    Wed: dinner at church

    Thurs: I'm doing dinner w/some moms, so DH is on his own w/the kids

    Fri: ? (but I've got a few days to decide)  Big Smile

  • I so need to start making a weekly plan. I think tonight shall be the night.... I hope, cause that's what I said on Sat, oops!!

     Today is fried chicken and maybe fries and salad.

  • Here are my planned meals for the week, I don't know which day I'll make which meal.

    Pretzel crusted chicken 

    Asian glazed chicken

    Bacon pierogi bake

    Parmesan honey pork roast

     All four of those recipes I have pinned on Pinterest.  For sides we'll have either rice or baked, roasted or mashed potato and some kind of veggie.

    Tonight I'm not cooking because DH is going shooting and I"m going to WW and out to dinner with my Dad.

    I usually add a bit more butter and double the cheese.  Very healthy! Stick out tongue
