Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.

Thank you.

Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.

Trickey

I have a Calibre/Kindle question.

Calibre says it can e-mail books directly to your Kindle, as long as you have an e-mail address associated with the Kindle account. Can you use your normal e-mail address, or do you need to set up one just for Kindle?

Re: Trickey

  • You have to set up an email for your kindle. It's really easy, and handy when using calibre - you simply save the file, attach it in an email and send it to your address @kindle.com, and then the next time your kindle connects to WiFi it automatically downloads on it's own to your library.

Go to Amazon, Kindle, Manage My Kindle and scroll down you will see a field where you can create the address for your Kindle.
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • Ok, cool. I will have to see if my dad's is set up that way. If not, I'll have to do it for him.

Also, did you say you have a list of all of the books Sunshine has in the dropbox, too? I went to the dropbox but didn't see an easy way to export a list of the files or anything--sucks when I'm dealing with computer illiterates! :)
