Maui
Never been and am interested in going. What hotels are decent that have a really great and swimmable beach?

This is where we stayed as well, and we really enjoyed it. They have beach chairs that you can use and there is even some trees at the one end if you want to get a little shade. (I'm very fair skinned, so this was a bonus for me!) Plus like pp said, they have 2 pools, a restaurant, a gift shop, and it's right across the street from a grocery store and little strip mall so it's easy to stock up on snacks and stuff.
The Sheraton has a great beach and pool. It is located on black rock where there is geally great snorkeling.
I like the Kannapali area the best personally.
The Hyatt is gorgeous but the beach is rocky there but it has a great pool.
