  • On a side note, it does not NEED to be refrigerated. Heinz recommends it to keep flavor but it will stay good for weeks/months opened and stored in your pantry. I've always refrigerated. I only know of a few people who do not refrigerate their ketchup. I will not eat ketchup that has not been kept in the refrigerator (even at restaurants).

  • I hate it when a restaurant only has room temp ketchup. Blech

  • I voted based on DH's consumption. He eats ketchup all the time. Left to my own devices even a small bottle will just sit around and get separated all weird because I hardly eat anything that requires ketchup.

  • I'm having Liz Lemon's baby. Just an FYI.

    You would. ;)

  • And for your answer. I always refrigerate it after I open it, but I don't really care one way or another. I don't eat enough of it at home to make a difference. I don't cook things that usually require ketchup either.

  • I refrigerate my ketchup at home, but I prefer room temperature ketchup from packets at fast-food restaurants.

  • Ketchup is nasty. Why would I ever have it in my home?!

To put on the top of meatloaf, of course!

Vomit. I make meatloaf once every other year (or less), but it will never have ketchup on it. bread crumbs only!

Oh, I didn't think about the packets. Ironically, I like those room temperature. They always seem cold though and not hot like room temperature bottles of ketchup.

  • I generally dislike ketchup, but we keep a small bottle on hand for when a recipe calls for it (usually a crock pot barbeque sauce).  I keep it in the fridge with all the other condiments.
