Probably TMI, but whatever
So I have no children and have never been pregnant, but I have a what I believe to be a little FUPA. Does anyone else on here have anything similar? Maybe it is just a women thing, but I find it odd and I have had it as long as I can remember. So I went searching online to see how to get rid of it. . All I can find is low calorie diet exercise and it is going to take awhile. Fine, whatever I am in this healthy lifestyle for the long haul so maybe it will be gone someday I have never been overly heavy, I've gained weight here and there, but never lost over 20 pds. So ladies am I the only one?

Re: Probably TMI, but whatever
I don't have one, but I know what you mean. What I do know is that belly fat is almost always attributed to food consumption. You can do all the exercise you want, but if you aren't eating right, it will do no good.
Maybe Ang, or one of the other work-out ladies can help you tomorrow morning.
Women have more body fat than men and a lot of times, your genetics determine where you carry it. (ie: if you are apple/pear shaped, etc).
All you can do is get moving- walking, biking, jump roping, etc- and get rid of processed foods, introduce more whole grains, legumes, cut out excess sugar/salt and you'll start to see a difference.
I don't think it has anyhting to do with whether or not you have had children. I have seen women who have had three pregnancies with BANGING abs and I've see people who haven't been pregnant with belly fat. Genetics.
I am sure you are not the only one, fat gathers in different areas for people and that area is certainly not prone to retaining extra tissue as much as any other part. I would think some exercises that focus on the lower body movements would help. Leg lunges and squats come to mind.
You can build up a daily routine starting off with a few sets, and then keep adding reps each week or after so many days. Maybe 10 leg lunges and 10 full squats each night, then keep adding a couple on. I am sure you will notice a difference if you keep it up!
The only time I ever got even close to having 6 pack abs was when I made it a point to do sets of crunches every single night before I went to bed. The more diligent I was, the more I could tell it was working. That is just a part of the body that doesn't get a lot of normal exercise, so you kind have to work at it to make sure the fat gets burned.
