  • We won't know until February!!!!

    The anticipation is awful!!!

  • Can you tell us anything about the process?

Augh, that is going to be a LONG wait! GOOD LUCK!!!

  • I was amazed about how fast and smooth it was.

We got there really early and lined up around the building. They had plenty of people to help direct and answer questions.

Everybody got a wristband. Blue for performers, Red for guests. After wristbands all performers got a number (Hubby was 090!). At about 7 or so they started letting people in. About 25 at a time.

You have to go through metal detectors and then there were people to check paperwork and make sure the performer had everything and that the guests signed releases.

After that! 50 performers at a time went up to the "rehearsal room"  - once about 100 performers or so were in there, and an hour later, they started bringing groups back to audition - 25 at a time.

That part seemed to take the longest! I have no idea what happened after that, I wasn't allowed to go! but apparently in the room they auditioned in, there were at least 5 judges and a massive amount of cameras!

    Eep!

By the time we left they had just started to record the outdoor shots of Ausitn. It was cool to see, but we didn't want to stay and be in on it. A couple people brought horses and there was sh!t everywhere on that street! Gross!

We were in a rush to get out. We got there about a quarter till  six and left about a quarter till 11. We lucked out.. the parking meters didn't start until 11.! woop! great audition and free parking!

Hubby doesn't think he did well, but based on what he told me - I think he did great! One judge asked him if what he played was original or not, and when he replied original, the judge said he couldn't figure out what it reminded him of.

When hubby listed his inspirations (according to hubby) the judge smiled and said that he was able to identify each distinct sound put together in his performance.

He said lots of smiles, lots of politeness and no unsatisfied faces!

  • Wow, that is fantastic. You know we'll be rooting for him!
  • I want so badly for him to get through - not even to win the show just to play in front of Sharon Osborn. I know that's all he needs.

Once she hears him, surely he'll be able to meet some people and get somewhere.

He just needs to network. Needs to meet the right people that can help him out.
