  • Thanks for thinking of us! We haven't been to group yet, because they keep getting cancelled due to weather. We had an appointment with an LC yesterday though and it went pretty well. She helped me with the latch...and we went over some things for the fast let down. Most I have already been doing, but I think I need to be more consistent with everything and give all the techniques more time. Today has been challenging for us. We spend a total of 2 hours in the AM and 2 hours this afternoon trying to nurse. He pretty much screamed the entire time. I ended up pumping a little the second time and giving him a bottle because we both needed a break.

Then about a half hour ago we nursed again and it was PERFECT! He ate in 20 minutes, no choking on milk, no un-latching, no crying, etc. And he fell asleep and is still asleep.  Sometimes it's so hard for us and sometimes it goes perfect...which is awesome because I think that's what's giving me hope at this point and keeping me from exclusively pumping at this point and just giving him a bottle full time.

  • Sorry to be highjacking this post...

Andrea, did you say you went to Dr. Bosse as well? I just had an appt with her yesterday about possible IF and I think she is just amazing. It's only the second time I've seen her in a year and I feel so comfortable talking with her. If you do go to her-did you have a good experience with her throughout your pregnancy?

And glad things are going a bit better with BF!!

Yes! I love Dr. Bossie! She did my c-section and was awesome. Keep in mind that once you become preggo you don't have a choice who actually delivers your baby. I was worried about ending up with someone besides DR. Bossie, but honestly I mostly dealt with the nursing staff at the hospital anyways so it really didn't matter. I think all the Dr's at that practice are great...it's just that Dr. Bossie has a much better bedside manner in my opinion. The days after my delivery, Dr Glidden came to visit me (I haven't seen Dr. Bossie since  my c-section) in the hospital and she was great too. Also, for pregnancy visits,  I really liked the one mid-wife, Irma. She was awesome to talk to and I tried to schedule most of my pregnancy visits with her or Dr. Bossie. Good luck!! :)

I now remember you saying that about not getting to choose the doctor/midwife, but glad to hear you had a good experience with most of them! :) I appreciate the info!!
