mine is this year. i would like to get knocked up july/aug so if i can't be drunk i won't gom really being sober with a bunch of people i may not like seems lame. thoughts?

I went to my 5 year. Did not go to the 10 year. 10 year was actually the day the Phils clinched the division in 2008 and I was there instead.

I did not go. Facebook lets me see what most people are up to, at least those I care about. Plus I was knocked up. Sounds like I didn't miss too much, but that may have been my sad class.

My class didnt organize one, which is cool with me. I dont really want to talk to anyone that I dont already talk to on a normal basis. Just secretly judging from across a room (or interwebs) works for me. Yay FB!

Did you go to the 15? I'm kind of bummed I missed it but I agree with the previous posts. Now that we have Facebook I don't feel like I missed out on too much.

My 5 and 10 yrs were cancelled due to lack of interest. I thought that was lame so I helped plan 15 and it was a blast. I tend to agree alcohol was necessary for that one but maybe not for future ones.

i fully agree with drinking at hs reunions. why else would you go?

i usually make the all class at the beach every other year. this way its a big group of us and i actually know and like a lot more of the people.

i kind of went to my 5- i went to the bar where it was held with some friends. we refused to pay the $40 for cash bar and gross a$$ bar food at barnabys. hung out with some fun girls and had a halfway decent time.

I didn't. I had something of some sort with DH that night, and no one of the regular crowd I see was going.

Mine was over this past Thanksgiving weekend, and I went. It was more enjoyable than I expected, even though I couldn't drink. And I only keep in touch with one person from high school.

I kind of got drug into help plan our 10 year one since my good friend was on the student council and wanted to plan it. Had this not been the case, not sure if I would have went being that I was pregnant. It was at Paddywhacks and a big drunkfest, probably a great time for everyone else though. Everyone there I am already in contact through on facebook so really it was just a huge get together since we are all still in touch.

I ran my 5 and attended my 10. Had a blast at both. But I went to an all girls HS (as did a lot of you I think) and the 5 year was no dates and hardly anyone brought their SO to the 10. I love my hubs but he doesn't need to sit on the sidelines while I reminisce and turn into an 18 year old again. He was happy to play taxi that night.

Went to my 5 yr and 10 yr reunions. A 15 yr reunion should have been planned last year, but never materialized. Had a blast at both, went with girlfriends from high school that I'm still friends with. The mr did not attend either b/c we weren't dating at the 5 yr and at the 10 year, we figured there's no reason for him to pay $60 to be introduced to people that he wouldn't see for at least another 5 years.

I didn't go to either. I already connect with high school friends through FB and my five best friends are from HS, so no need to pay $30 a ticket to sit in a crowded bar when we see each other at girls' night every couple weeks and hang out on weekends. Plus, I hate having the awkward fake convo with people about what they're up to and pretend I actually care. Geez, I sound like a real peach

I went to mine and it was terrible. And I even helped plan it. I didn't want to, but I was doing a good friend of mine a favor and I knew about events and stuff so I agreed. Ours was at a local bowling alley with a bar and we kept it super cheap. People just didn't give a sh!t at all so we decided no more reunions. We didn't do a 5 and people were b!tching, so we did the 10 and literally 20 people showed out of 120. I'm sure someone will say something around the 20 yr mark and we'll hem and haw and figure out if we should do something, but with facebook, people can do their judging and stalking in private and I really think that's what people prefer. I keep in touch with the people I want to anyway. Plus, we're a tiny school so it would make more sense to put several grades together since everyone was so intertwined with each other.

I am in the same boat as many of you. I went to my 5 and it was way awkward, and we had to spend $40 to go to a bar that was a good hour from my house (and at least 40 mins from where our high school is located- guess the girl planning accommodated herself?). They said there would be food- which turned out to be one plate each of chicken fingers and mozz. sticks- and open bar, which ended early. It was awful. I skipped my 10 year.
