Sending Flowers Overseas (Ireland)

My friend's dad just passed.  We want to send flowers.  They are in County Cork, Ireland.  Do I just use 1.800.flowers?

I know the funeral home.  I may call there tomorrow and ask them for a florist, and then call the florist directly.

Anyone done this before?

I haven't done it internationally, but I have done it in a very rural area out of state.

  • i think some of the nesties live in ireland, maybe post on the international nesties board?

calling the florist there would probably be the most cost-effective route. sorry for your friend :(

  • I'd call the funeral home and ask them what florist they recommend and then call the florist directly.
  • We just sent flowers to DH's grandad in England with Interflora.  Pretty sure they also deliver to Ireland.

  • Ditto everyone saying just call the florist directly.  Do you have a Visa?  That's the card I saw accepted the most overseas.

Oh yes, Visa is not an issue.  Thanks all.  KtotheJ I never thought of calling a UK florist!  Of course, paying in the pound sucks.  I am calling the funeral home in the am.

    Thanks again all!
