Babymoon hotel recs on the south end of Maui

We are going to Maui with friends and staying in Kihei at their family condo, sleeping on the sofa bed. Since it is our last vacay before the baby comes, we want to get away for a few nights alone. We are sharing our car rental, we would like it to be close-ish to them. Any suggestions?? TIA.

We stayed in South Maui for our honeymoon, 6 years ago. We stayed at the Maui Prince Hotel and were very happy with our stay. It has since changed names and is now called The Makena Beach & Golf Resort. Their website is www.makenaresortmaui.com .
