What hours should I call in-home day cares? I've tried to skip morning naps, so have tried calling between 1030-1130, then tried calling 330-430 (I know some parents come by now so this may not be the most convienent). I didnt know if its okay to call in the evening after hours. I have left numerous messages with no call backs (I didnt leave in the message to when we are looking so they really had no info to go by but my name and number).
I'm getting freaky stressed out by this. I work evenings so it will be hard to call in the evenings, but I think I can probably take a 15 min break here and there and call.
Thanks

I called around 6:00 when I knew that the kids would be gone. I didnt want to be a PITA, plus I wanted to have her full attention..
I always thought evenings were best, but when I asked my previous provider she told me that she would rather people call during the day. So then I would try to call in the morning around 9-ish. Or during nap time around 1.
Make the initial call short and sweet..do you have an opening for an infant? How much do you charge? Can I set up a time to meet with you? And then ask everything else when you meet with them.
Our DCP was referred to us by a friend so she was the only one I called and I didn't call her until after I had C and was home and it was during the day and she just asked me nicely if I could call back later in the evening after all the kids were gone, so I would say that.
