Tuesday Healthy Goals Check In
Hope no one minds that I started this......
How did everyone do the past 7 days? What worked, what didn't? What's next on your goals for this week?
Re: Tuesday Healthy Goals Check In
I was doing great till the snow came. I was down .6lbs and going to the gym almost every day.
Since the snow I have not been doing awesome and I'm sure my .6lbs are back.

Valentine's Day Dash - 5k - 2/11/12 - 34:21
Kirkland 5k - 5/13/12 - 31:59
Current Weight: 220.3
Weight Loss since last week: 3.3lbs
Total weight loss: approx 5 lbs
What worked:
Counting carbs worked really well for me. I actually was feeling very full and not minding it.
Going to Zumba. Made it for 4.5hrs last week. Missed one day.
Doing lots of reading/info gathering about paleo/primal
What I still need to work on:
--I got The New Rules of Lifting for Women (NROLW. I read it, but haven't started it. My plan was to start it today....butttt I am just not one to willingly go out in the snow.
at the snow.
--Yesterday we got pizza...I don't know why. It was a terrible idea, but it sounded good....and I had about 50g of carbs (from white flour) from that one meal.....shortly after finishing it, I started having these absolutely terrible stomach cramps....I have decided that my body has switched over to the low carb way of life and it was verrrrry mad at me for putting that crap in my body. So I need to not stray again.
--I miss fruit. One banana has more carbs than 1 slice of the pizza I had last night.
Plans for this week:
Don't stray from low carb.
Drink More Water
Start NROLW
try to get in some sort of exercise even with the snow getting in the way.
eta: just added the pizza into mfp.
135g of carbs. I was apparently wrong when I looked at the nutritional facts last night.
I'm +1 this morning
I was doing ok last week then the weekend wasn't so great.
What's working: limiting carbs. I need to be a lot more intentional with that this week. Also, I've been getting to the gym consistently - even went in the snow yesterday.
What's not working: my run on Saturday sucked. Two weeks of being sick really sets me back, and that was round 5 of being sick this winter. I really need my running legs (and cardio) back before half marathon training starts. I did go out for a little run in the snow yesterday, but the sidewalks were starting to ice over and there were only a few that had been cleared. I ran in circles for about 20 minutes then went home. It felt good to be outside though... I'm so much happier exercising outside than in the gym!!
Plan for this week? Two runs - one at least 4 miles. Spin class tonight, unless it gets cancelled. Three strength sessions - I will say, these are going GREAT. I'm really enjoying focusing more on lifting this month. I'm seeing definition in my arms that I've never had before, so that's encouraging. And continued careful eating. Maybe a little less wine...

...more to come!
My weigh in for WW is Friday and it was spectacular. Unfortunately, I went totally off over the weekend. Plus, I think the Clomid is making me gain weight. AND, I'm starving to death. I have not exercised much this week so far.
Friday weight: 127.6
Total weight loss since we started checking in: 5.4 lbs
I need to get my cravings under control and exercise. And hopefully the effects of the Clomid will go away in a few days.
TTC #2 for a million years: SA normal, CD 23 bloodwork shows nothing amiss, ovulation detected. Next step: ? maybe CD3 bloodwork to check eggs? All out of pocket, so limited IF tests/treatments.
