Has anyone used Xoom to transfer money?

If so, do you like it or is there some other company that you prefer?

Re: Has anyone used Xoom to transfer money?

  • I've used XE.com for the last 7 years. I like them and have never had any problems with them. It's some work to get set up, but after that easy peasy.

  • I'm an XE.com user as well...it's been awesome!
I like pineapples...they make life just so much more interesting.
  • I use Paypal.

I haven?t heard of this, but I will look into it.

It seems that most of these online agencies are not available in my country, like Paypal (which would make my life so much easier if it was).

YEah, that?s not available here either.  I guess I will have to figure out how to wire money from my bank here to the one in the US. Sad

  • I've always used paypal too, but if that is  not available where you are what about Western Union?

  • I've used Xoom! When we stayed in Scotland, the owner of the cottage didn't take CC's, so I used Xoom to send her the deposit. It was easy and I had no issues!

I read some reviews that made me a little nervous, but everything was quick and efficient with the money transfer.

Western Union is ridiculously expensive.  I did look at Money Gram, but it seems that I cannot directly sent it to a bank.  So I?d have to have someone pick i up for me and then deposit it in my bank.

I opened a Peruvian pay pal account, because rumor has it that I can transfer funds from the Peruvian account to the US account.  We shall see, we shall see.

I don?t know why Peru is so behind on the times...get with it, please!
