Anyone have THIS vacuum? I've been drooling over it for about 2 years. It's not sold in any stores that I've found. I'd like to get something like this soon, but the fact that if it's not up to par I'd love to have a physical location to return it to. If not this I was planning on someday getting a Roomba, but this just seems move advanced, but I know I could walk into a BB&B and pick up a Roomba, and they seem to have a pretty good return policy.
If you have any robotic vacuum, how often do you run it? I always hear of people running it once or twice per week, I'd love to have something run at leastl once daily. With 3 kids and sometimes a dog our floors get a ton of crumbs and debris on them in a very short amount of time. It would only be for hard flooring.
Re: Neato Robotics Vacuum?
I don't have it but am considering it. I love the technology. I had a Roomba and it was fantastic. With three cats, we needed to run it daily. But we weren't always good about that and the more you use it, the better the battery life is. Eventually after 2 years, the battery only stayed charged for about 15 minutes and we had lots of "Roomba Barf". (Where it just leaves random clumps of hair in the middle of a floor even though the canister was mostly empty.) If you go with a Roomba, just make sure to perform the regular maintenance (it's important) and get a warranty. (We purchased ours at Best Buy.)
Here is a detailed comparison:

I just came across this post, so my apologies if you got the information that you need. We have both - a Neato and a Roomba. We feel like the Neato works WAY better than the Roomba. in our opinion, the Roomba's specialty is carpet, where is the Neato is fantastic on everything. Our Roomba runs daily upstairs (all carpet) and our Neato runs downstairs every day (combo carpet, hardwood, tile). We got the Roomba first, and then got the Neato and were SO pleased with the difference.
We actually ordered our Neato off BB&B also, so while you'll have to pay for shipping, you can return it there if you decide it doesn't work for you.
