I loved the music tonight! Wasn't a fan of the very last part though, with Finn and Rachel...too cliche.
Re: Glee 1/17
I LOVED the Will/Ms. Pillsbury proposal. The synchronized swimming was amazing! We went back and watched it for a second time.
I'm planning a huge gala for the opening of our new campus wellness center and kick-off of our new fundraising campaign that will be in the wellness center and we discussed having synchronized swimmers in the pool as part of the pre-gala entertainment. After seeing that, I'm sold!
And yes, the Finn and Rachel part was super cliche.
TI, IUIs, IVF = c/ps and BFNs
Finn is a cliche, lol.
Let's talk about Becky, and the Helen Mirren voice over, AMAZING. I thought exploring that storyline was great. I definitely cried at the end when Coach Sue was trying to cheer her up.
The "Summer Lovin" opening number was super cheesy but i loved it.

i literally squealed with delight.
and nene totally nailed her part. 40 acres and a pool? LOVE.

Loved this episode!! LOL'd at Sue wearing the crazy fascinator from the royal wedding. She was shockingly nice to everyone this episode! And the coach getting married- didn't see that coming!! Poor Becky, bless her heart. Loved her accent.
Loved Emma's song to Will! Loved the Moves Like Jagger/Jumping Jack Flash mashup.
Wasn't crazy about the girls song or Rachel's song, but loved the proposal. AWESOME!!
Nene- hilarious!! Nailed it.
CANNOT WAIT for the MJ episode. And now we have two wait two long weeks for the answer. BOO!!
I'm pissed that Nene is on the show. She's a *** and a bully, and I'm vehemently anti anything that gives her more attention - including a role on Glee.
I'm bummed that there was only a Grease number, and not a Grease episode, which I'd incorrectly assumed was in the works. But the number was great, so if that's all I can get, I'll take it.
Getting to see Mr. Shue dance was awesome. I love the Jagger mash-up with the boys.
Becky broke my heart. I love Helen Mirren as the voice over.
Sue in the fascinator was hysterical. My husband kept asking WTF was on her head. She was uncharacteristically pleasant this episode, and I liked it.
Will's proposal was bizarre. Synchronized swimming? What? Why? I'm glad they're engaged, though, and hope they actually make it to a happy marriage. I've liked them together from the start.
Oh Finn. Oh, Finn. I was so sad when he found out the truth about his father, and sad again when he proposed to Rachel. I think she's certainly going to turn him down, he'll be crushed, but eventually realize it's the right thing. It's just going to be a mess until then.
I needed more Blaine. There was not nearly enough Blaine this episode.
Please, Artie, don't date Sugar. As an aside, Kevin McHale was interviewed recently and said there's a love interest on the horizon for Artie.
I hate that we have to wait 2 more weeks for another episode. Effing American Idol. One of many reasons I hate that show.
I got the impression he proposed the way he did because it was dramatic and showy, but since it was in the pool it was clean. He mentioned earlier he shouldn't dance because he would sweat, and she wouldn't like that.
1) What teacher asks their high school student to be their best man? He doesn't have a single grown up friend? Creepy.
2) I absolutely adore the relationship between Sue and Becky. Love love love love love.
3) I don't like babies having babies and I'm not a fan of babies getting married either. I hope Rachel says no.
4) I was so hoping for more Grease-ness!
me too.
i was also half-expecting her to be supportive...and then also mention they could key his wheelchair or something.

I love the relationship between Becky and Sue as well. Poor Becky though.
And I am happy that Will and Emma are engaged, but why did he have to be a buttface right before that about her OCD? You could tell how deep those words cut her.
I so hope Rachel and Finn don't get engaged. Not cool. For a second I thought it was going to be a promise ring, which is totally high school.
THANK YOU! I thought this too! That is very strange! "I can't wait for my bachelor party!" WTF????
I thought the same thing too! Very odd, but since when did Glee depict anything semi-normal.
Love Becky so much. My sister has Down Syndrome and I love that there is a positive person with so much life and energy and awesomeness being depicted on TV. Lauren Potter is up there on my list of celebrities I would love to meet. And I adore Becky and Sue together.
I thought this was such a great, fun episode. The music was good, and I was so glad Sam threw in the John Travolta arm raise at the end of Summer Lovin'.
And Nene hater or not (and I tend to think a lot of her persona is producer invoked), she nailed her role.

My actual reaction to the very last scene, as it was happening:
"FINN! What are you DOOOOOOOOOOING?"
I did love Will's proposal, though, as well as everything Sue did in this episode.
Ha! He's heading down a slippery slope, indeed!
Ditto to all this!
Also, I don't understand the logic behind Will's proposal. Public pools are freakin disgusting. People are half naked in there, they spit in the water, and boogers free-flow in there. Why would Emma want to touch/kiss him when he's dripping in public pool water. I'm gagging even thinking about it. I give that whole scene a huge WTF face.
But, I can't stand Schu, so maybe that's why I think he's a creepy, egotistical weirdo.
Can Santana get any more gorgeous?! I didn't care about the song the girls sang, but I could not take my eyes away from her. I love her. And she was so right to call out Rachel for making it all about her (again).
