A group of friends and I are trying to plan a weekend away during the summer, unsure of the number (possibly up to 10). We are all located in the NH Seacoast area and are looking to stay somewhat locally (no more than a 3-4 hour drive). We were thinking North Conway but living here all our lives we've been there and done that.
Anyone have any suggestions? Some things thrown around so far, somewhere in Maine, Burlington VT or Newport, RI. Any ideas would be super helpful
Thanks!!

Re: NE Ladies
I like the Ogonquit, ME area, and also Plum Island, MA. I love Newport, but will be pricy in July.
I also like the Rockland, ME area. It is further, but worth it IMO.
What do you want to do? Sightsee? Hike or bike? Shop or barhop? Lounge? This may influence my decision.
I agree with Ogonquit, ME.
I know you said you'd prefer not to do North Conway, but I stayed at Saco Rive Campground numerous times growing up and absolutely loved the area. You have the outlets across the street, you can go kayaking, canoing, etc.

North Conway isn't completely out of the picture, we do love outlet shopping lol, we are just trying to go somewhere new for a change.
I would say the majority would like to sightsee, shop and barhop although we are fine staying in and drinking in the place we rent
I'll add Ogonquit to the list
One of our wedding guests gave us a weekend away up in Wells, ME as a gift. I BELIEVE this was the place we stayed. It was in the perfect location and our stay included a gift certificate for dinner at a nearby restaurant and a gift certificate to the Maine Diner (a must eat) for breakfast. I'd add this to the list of places to check out. The prices are super!
