scoring card stock?

I'm not sure if "scoring" is the right word but what do you use to get a crisp, professional fold when using card stock? Is there anything I can use from home without buying a special tool? tia.

Re: scoring card stock?

  • I have the Martha Stewart score board. If you use a coupon from Michael's you can get it pretty cheap.

I don't know what you can use from home.

Yes! Should run $10-12 with a 50-40% off coupon. It works great!

  • You can use a ruler and a bone folder or butter knife. Put the ruler where you want the score line to be and run the bone folder down the edge of the ruler.  It won't be as great of a score as what you would get with a scoreboard but it helps.

  • I'm not sure.. my Fiskers paper cutter has a scoring blade which I've used before. Now Stampin' Up! has a fabulous new tool called the Simply Scored, fits 12x12 sheets of paper and it's amazing!!!

  • If you have a fiskers paper trimmer you can run a bone folder down the grove of the paper trimmer and fold that way.

I highly recommend the MS score board, I makes things so much easier now that the MS score board, and my lines are straighter.

  • I use the Martha Stewart score board.  It's $19.99 at Michaels but you can get it 40% off with a coupon.
