Hey, few questions for ya if you have a second.

Our baby jogger select just came in the other day (yay).  I haven't used it outside yet, just made sure I had the idea of it in the house.  After folding it and unfolding it a few times on our hardwood floor, I noticed that the silver bar that holds the foot rest is beyond scratched.  Did this happen to yours?  I mean, I am not even on concrete yet so I was a little worried.

Also, when you fold yours with the seat down low and the infant seat holder up top, which side do you lay it down on in your car or on the ground?  I almost feel like I will break the infant carrier but dont want the seat to get dirty either..

On a COMPLETELY different topic, like Jack, Lilly is a busy little girl.  What did you do to keep him entertained in the hospital while he was visiting and how long did he visit each day?

I am going in in about 2 1/2 weeks, any other tips or advice would be soooo appreciated!  Have a good day!

  • STROLLER:

I wouldn't say mine is beyond scratched but does have a few on it.  The way to get around that is not having the seat on when opening.  9/10 times as I pull mine out of the trunk it opens up and I put it down (does that make sense?!)  I don't "lock it"

I don't lay mine on the ground, I fold it with both attachments on and throw it in the trunk.. I am rather rough with mine.   But you can take off both seats put them in your car then put base in.

HOSPITAL:  for the 1st half he was with my mom and sister, they took him maybe 3 hours total each day, in 2 trips.  The hospital gave him a coloring book and crayons, FOOD was great bribery.  Also I hung with him mostly when he was there and everyone else held C.  I would walk halls with him, take him to nursery window to see babies.  Cuddle to the TV:)

My inlaws had him 2nd half.  And they only brought him in 1 of the 2 days.  But also C was born hurricane weekend when like the world ended around me, so all my nurses were doing doubles because it was hard to leave or get to hospital. Which reduced J's visits because I didn't want him out in the weather.

I would have a toy for her at hospital she gets when she first visits.  And have snacks or make sure someone brings them.  Pay extra attention to her and biggest thing:  IT'S NOT YOUR BABY IT'S HERS!  So when Lily sees him say Look at your baby, look at your brother"  basically giving them ownership reduces the jealousy.  J still ripped her hat off immediately and smacked her, and still does. LOL

GL and let me know if you have any more questions.
