Desperately need Nestie vibes

I got a call from my stepdad yesterday with bad news. I know that an xray the day before had shown a mass on my mom's lung so she went in yesterday for more testing. We were thinking it was a fungal infection, but the CT scans show that it's much worse. She has a large tumor growing out from her sternum. It's already pushed her bronchial tubes askew and seems to have grown rather aggressively. The doctor's inclined to think it's benign but I have no idea what she bases that on. All her information was forwarded on to Oregon Health Sciences Univ. to the specialists to review and tell us what we need to do. Her doctor is afraid to do a biopsy in case it is malignant as that could cause it to metastasize. She may end up going to Portland, up here to Fred Hutch, or down to Stanford for treatment based on what OHSU recommends.

I know I don't get along with my mother very well, we have a complicated relationship. But I do love her very much and I'm not ready to lose her! I've really come to trust in Nestie vibes and could use the extra hope, and love for my mom right now!
