Cleaning a stainless steelcoffee pot - help!
I've tried to clean my coffee pot with:
vinegar
soaking in vinegar/hot water soln
tried using a bottle brush
But I can't get the residual coffee staining off the bottom.
Any ideas?

A big part of me says... You've scrubbed it, you've soaked it. Give it up already. It's clean. It's just a stain. No one will ever see because you'll have fresh coffee in it.
But Bar Keeper's Friend is probably worth a shot.
I'm trying to get rid of a bad burn stain off my new all clad pot and I googled for some tips after being unsuccessful with soaking and using bar keeper's friend.
Last night, I poured a bottle of Coke into the pot and let it soak overnight. To my surprise, it got rid of 95% of gunk this morning.
The remaining 5% still smells awful and it's still tacky to the touch, so I'm going to try the other tip I found online. Use a dryer sheet and soak it in the pot/pan with lukewarm water overnight and then clean the next day. I need to buy the sheets to try this out (only have liquid fabric softener now).

I throw some ice and a ton of salt inside the ss pot close the lid and shake it! I also swirl all around. Works like a charm!
