pet peeve: announcing something that's not yours to announce
ugh. so i have a friend who just found out that she was having a girl....before her official fbook announcement, 2...TWO people posted saying "i'm so happy you're having a girl".... .and somebody said "you're having a girl?!" it was within hours after her dr appointment, and a few hours before her official fbook announcement....and that just makes me so upset. that wasn't any of their business to post.
now i'm clicking through her comments from the official announcement..just to see what else there is.......somebody gave away the baby's name!!! seriously??!
seattle nesties have more class than that.

My Blog
i just wuold think that people are smart enough to know that before you say something on fb, you should make sure the person who is going to share the news has shared it first.
also, if a friend text you, you shouldn't respond on fb. that is ridic. it's almost like those people just wanted to share it before op.
This exactly.
Whenever I become KTFU/find out the sex of the baby, I hope to hide my wall, because I know there will probably be at least one person who would post the info for all to see.

in general people annoy me for making rude facebook comments. Like, a friend just got engaged the other day and then posted a picture of her ring, which is beautiful and unique with a sapphire for a center stone. someone has to be like "Beautiful!!! We were looking at sapphires since they're "in" right now, but we went with a princess center and sapphires on the band. So happy for you, btw" WTH?! like, do they not see that comment as rude? seriously. My friend replied a few comments later that it was actually a ring from his family etc and played it off nicely. Ugh it just rubs me the wrong way.
(I realize this may not seem like a blatantly rude comment, but that I-have-to-comment-to-sound-like-I-know-more or whatever is annoying)

I think people do this because it makes them feel important!
this totally makes sense. i did a facebook-background-check on one of the people who announced the "girl" news, and she's in her 40's....she probably didn't know any better, since fbook is probably new-ish to her. the other people have no excuse though.

That sucks. People need to think before they tweet. Or FB.
I had to go with tweet because it sounded better....
my currently-reading shelf:
I think people know a lot of the time what they are going. We are in age of the Internet and who knows it first is "cool". I blame hipsters.
