I always get crazy anxious before meeting someone from here...you guys are all so pretty and smart and witty and just awesomesauce and I'm always afraid that I'll be the odd one in the group and everyone will be all "THIS is Otter? I thought she was funnier and prettier! WE GOT CHEATED!!!!!"
I'm not fishing for compliments, either, BTW. I still struggle with seeing myself as pretty and witty and crap.
:::runs away blushing:::
I feel like weinie admitting this!
Re: Confession about the GTG
Hell no, we won't! It's going to be fun, I know that
We've got a great group!
Awe, you are so cute! Trust me, I know exactly how you feel!
Only reason I am so comfortable now is because I have been doing travel G2G's for a few years thru my "other board's" annual meeting, so I have gotten over the anxiousness a little bit. But I still sometimes worry that people's expectations of me won't be met when I meet someone from this board for the first time, so I have had similar butterflies!
I hope nobody sticks out or feels out of place, it seems like a perfect circle of girls to me and I am sure you have nothing to worry about when it comes to being witty and pretty. I've seen your FB, you possess those traits already, girl!
Oh, please. You're gorgeous!
I keep reminding myself that (surely) others are feeling the same way I am. I'm super nervous about not living up to expectations also.
Oh well, it is what it is.
I can't wait to meet you all!

It's okay, I know the timing wasn't right for a lot of people.
We will have to shoot for another G2G for this year at some point wherever it might be. I would be down for tossing ideas out for the late summer or fall... certainly we should have another one if we gather enough interest!
I wish I could come. Of course, I all ready know that you're awesome, witty, and beautiful in person!
I hope you all have a great time.

I've never been to a gtg and can't make it to this one, but I can relate to the nervous feeling when meeting someone new.
I think the neat thing in this case though is that you guys already know so much about one another that you can skip right past the beginning part of making new friends and go straight to having fun.
You're awesome and you'll have a blast! And I'm looking forward to seeing PIPs.
This x a million.
Yes, there will be some nervousness... it's to be expected. My goal is just to go with it because I already know so much about you all.
Keep cool my babies!
We should have a San Francisco GTG and recreate the Summer of Love...BNOTB style!
I'm actually serious about that
I'm bummed I moved away from Houston, cause it seems like so many of ya'll are around that area. I'd love to go to a gtg one day.
And I love California! I haven't been for a few years. I think you have a grand idea Otter!
