If you're wrong, say you're wrong!
You know those people that screw up, then do everything possible to cover it up? Well, they drive. me. crazy!
I discovered a small typo and instead of saying, "Oh, oops, my bad," I get an elaborate story about how it's someone else's fault and blah, blah, blah.
Can I please retire?

Re: If you're wrong, say you're wrong!
I could swear I told a co-worker this yesterday! Ugh.
I also hate when people make personal excuses for not having their work done within the required deadlines (Monday was a holiday, my kids started school 2 hours late today, I have a head cold, tomorrow is a snow day, etc). I am still required to get my stuff done by the deadlines whether or not I have something else going on. I manage to get it all done, so should they!
So far I haven't had to deal with this too much, generally we aren't really able to make any mistakes, everything is double checked before it is sent out. Somewhat related to the excuses thing, I hate when I make an effort to get to work on time and some people have no problem strolling in around 10. I know they don't stay until 7 every evening. If I have to be here from 8-5 why don't they! I get the occasional late arrival, kid issues, etc. but every day?

Maybe you can be a Stay at Home Momma for Baby S!
Sometimes it is better to just admit you messed up and take fault then trying to push it off or cover it up. Why don't people understand that?
