T&P-found out today that my dad has prostate cancer
Just to clarify, since I think most of you know I have two fathers, it's my stepfather that has cancer. He's the one I consider to be my real father. Anyway, he had a biopsy done last Tuesday and we got the results today that it
is cancer. He has a family history and has had elevated PSAs (the blood
test they do for prostate cancer) and an enlarged prostate for years,
so we aren't shocked. But it's still hard to hear. The next step is a
bone scan and CT scan to make sure it hasn't spread. Thankfully we're
all feeling very optimistic because prostate cancer is very treatable.
We're just hoping and praying that it hasn't spread anywhere else. Any
T & Ps would be greatly appreciated! I'll update when he has his scans. Thanks ladies!
