Southland 1/17 Spoilers
Holy cow what a great episode! I love Lou Diamond Phillips, he plays a danm good jerk. That video with Lucy Liu was just wrong.
I'm so glad this is back! I'm kind of glad it's on TNT instead of NBC too, because I think they can get away with a little more.

I agree that it was a really good episode.
I love that John is healthy and in shape. He seems like he'll make a really good cop when he's not on painkillers and injured. The video of Lucy Liu was not at all what I expected. The way they talked about it I thought it was going to be something sexual. I felt so bad for her. I think she and John are going to make a good team.
I like the dynamic between Sammy and Ben. Why am I not surprised to see Sammy taking care of the baby. Did we find out if the baby is his or the photographers? I can't remember.
That Forrester cop was a jerk but I still felt bad when he got shot. I didn't expect that blitz attack at all. I asked DH if the shooter was the weird guy from the coffee shop who was staring at John and Jessica but we couldn't see him well enough to tell.
I'm so glad this show is back.
I love this show! I always on the edge of my seat, waiting for shooting to start, but that last scene in the station still caught me by surprise.
As always, Ben McKenzie is super hot. And I love his character with Sammy.
So glad John is healthy again. The interaction between him and Ben was so awkward and terrible to watch though.
And I can't stand Lucy Liu. I just can't. I don't think she's a good actress. She was okay last night, so we'll see how the rest of the season goes, but I'm not impressed so far.

I'm also not quite on board with Lucy Lui yet. She is by no means my favorite and I don't think she is a great actress either. We'll see where her character goes.
But we thought it was a great episode and I'm so glad it's finally back on!!

Freaking love this show. Unbelievable episode! I wrote it on my calendar a few months ago when the season premiere was, and have basically been counting down the days. It's probably the most "real" show I've ever seen. I wish it had more of a following? It doesn't seem like very many people watch it, Ill be super pissed if it gets canceled.
