NCR: Hand, Foot, Mouth Disease
You guessed it...LA's got it.
Ugh.
Luckily she doens't have any sores in her mouth, but her hands and feet look so pitiful
Only good news--she doesn't seem bothered by it and we both slept in this morning.
Ah, the joys of childhood diseases!

"People talk about escapism as if it's a bad thing... Once you've escaped, once you come back, the world is not the same as when you left it. You come back to it with skills, weapons, knowledge you didn't have before. Then you are better equipped to deal with your current reality."

Poor baby- I hope she doesn't get the mouth/throat sores at all. That is one illness we have managed to not pick up (and because I just typed that, I can probably count on us all coming down with it in 10... 9.... 8...).
Feel better, Lil!

Oh, no! Poor little thing! Hope she continues not be bothered by it!
I suppose it could always be worse; a friend's SIL just came back from vacation with Typhoid!

Poor Baby!
I hope she gets better fast.
My little brothers got that last year. It was horrible for them. They caught it at football. (ages 11,13,15) They had never been exposed before. I have never seen 3 kids more miserable in my life.
Thanks y'all. Like I said, so far, she doesn't seem affected by it--but we do have two things going for her:
1. If she has any sores in her mouth, I cannot see them (of course, she is not super cooperative about showing me either).
2. If she does get sores in her mouth, at least she doesn't eat orally so the pain won't be as bad--gotta look at the positive eh?
I am not worried about me getting it--I'm sure I have built up an immunity to it thanks to my job--but hoping DH doesn't get it because then I might just have to run away!

DS had that a few months ago, he never got sores in his mouth either just rash on his hands and feet and a slight fever. Luckily it only lasted a few days!
DD#1 had it when she was less then a year old. We went in to the doctor for a well baby check and our pedi caught it then. It must have *just* started because she just had a couple tiny spots on her feet. The doctor warned me it could get worse and to be prepared and shrugged it off. Her poor mouth was covered the next day. She would scream when I went to feed her. Poor little girl. Hopefully she just caught a minor case.
