I like the short ones, that go under the ankle. Unless I'm exceptionally cold.

Yes. I have fuzzy socks when it's really cold, slipper socks when I just want my feet warm and thigh high socks for keeping my legs warm when I'm wearing my pj shorts.

I love socks, but I rarely wear them. I have twos pairs of tennis shoes and they are the only shoes I own that need socks. I don't like to touch my floors without shoes, so if I'm wearing socks they are toe socks.
