  • FWIW, though this is the first time chiming in for me... I love this thread sarack as it always makes me think of something positive that happened today.

Pit: cooked dinner tonight to find out DH's shuttle home from work was running late.  Dinner got cold.  DH has his personal trainer tonight so once it gets too close to the trainer, he can't eat a full meal of food.  He couldn't eat dinner so I made him a second, smaller protein-focused meal (scrambled egg whites with goodies).  His shuttle was really late.  *It* got cold, too.  Poor guy.

Peak: I have two.  First, at tutoring today I worked with a girl new to the SF area from Nepal, who is a refugee.  What a smart girl she was and she had an incredible grasp of English for only being here two months!  We were working on math and we must have spent 45 minutes going over this one problem, but when everything finally came together and she got it, it was the greatest feeling!

Peak: Our videographer just got our wedding highlights DVD to us.  We'll get the full hours-long video on Saturday when up in Seattle but I keep watching the highlight DVD over and over and over again and crying.

  • Peak: Using my immersion blender (wedding gift) for the 1st time today.  I made a baked potato-esque soup that came out TASTY!

Pit: Being home alone while hubby was at work (3rd day in a row).  I joined in on the neighborhood kid's snow play for some company, iknow iknow white whine.

  • Peak- today, h bought some tickets that he's been wanting since he was a kid. It makes me happy that he's so excited.

Pit- we're supposed to be saving for our forever house. I got our year end credit card summary this morning and unless if we severely cut back on travel, we might be living here forever. We had a plan, but our plan has long been thrown out the window. Sigh.

  • peak - I got a 2nd job :) it's pretty flexible (i.e. I do it all via email/over the phone on my own time)

    pit - losing power :(

  • Peak:  building a snowman, sledding, watching Star Wars III, eating lots of snacks, but mostly having James and Tman home from work/school (even though James doesn't get paid, we'll figure that out later)

Pit:  eating bad for me food ALL DAY.  I gave up on the diet this week because a) I'm totally bloated and constipated which I blame on the Clomid, and b) with my family home and the schedule crazy, all I want to do is be home and have delicious-ness!

TTC #2 for a million years: SA normal, CD 23 bloodwork shows nothing amiss, ovulation detected. Next step: ? maybe CD3 bloodwork to check eggs? All out of pocket, so limited IF tests/treatments.

  • I'll be contracting for a small start up doing resume review, cover letter writing and interview coaching.  It is still really getting off the ground, so it may not really turn into anything, but it could be as much as 15 hours extra per week.  we'll see how it all pans out, but I'm intrigued.  and if nothing else, it gave me peace of mind that I can still interview okay and come across as knowledgeable :)
  • Peak: I made the best dinner... mahi mahi with lemon pepper aioli and roasted asparagus. It was delish.

Pit: slipping and sliding on the drive into work this morning
