I know I've asked this before re: where to stay in Vegas
I'm sorry for losing my original thread, because there were a ton of great suggestions. Please humor me and tell me where you recommend to stay in Vegas....we're looking to stay on the strip.

Hubby and I have been to Vegas many times since I used to work near there. We've stayed at the MGM, Excalibur, Caesar's, Imperial Palace, and my sister stayed at the Luxor. It sort of depends how much you want to spend. At the more expensive places we usually got them for free for using Hotels.com and getting points from them. Imperial Palace is old and cheap, and I think we only stayed there once. DH has sentimental attachment for that one and is hoping they don't tear it down like it has been rumored.
The hotel we liked the most though was the Las Vegas Hilton, because it's not right in the thick of things (noisy) or on the strip but it's right on the monorail. So we'd park and stay there and take the monorail all weekend.
Also, and I don't know if you'd be interested in this sort of thing at all---but an hour and a half north of Vegas is the Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge. It's where I used to work and it's fabulous in spring and early summer if that's when you plan to go. It makes a good day trip if you wanted to check it out.
Around $150/night including taxes & fees. Obviously the cheaper the better, but I'm paying for the hotel since FF has already bought our plane tickets (we're exchanging them for tickets to Seattle for his SS's wedding that was called off).
