QOTD

What is your biggest pet peeve about Facebook?

Re: QOTD

  • People who comment on their SO's statuses with "I love you so much baby" even if it has nothing to do with their status.

Or people who are just gushing who "n luv" they are with their BF/GF.  And 99% of the time, these relationships end within 3 months.

  • People who write vague status updates:   "I can't take this anymore"  Then when people ask whats wrong they say "I don't want my personal business out there for everyone to see"

I also think anything to do with bodily functions of you, your animals or children shouldn't be on FB.  Maybe I am in the minority on this one.

  • The parents who comment about their childrens bathroom habits. Ick!
"You cannot protect yourself from sadness without protecting yourself from happiness."

Very much this.  My cousin is the queen of this and it irritates me to no end.  Such a drama llama.

  • When my mom or anyone her generation really (aunts, family frends, etc...) will ask me a question as a comment on my status or on a post someone else has put on my wall.  The question usually has nothing to do with the original post that she's commenting on.  Seriously?  Just post a new message on my wall or send me a private message.  LOL

I have a friend who has new bf every 2-3 months.  She is  also convinced that every person she dates will be her husband.

  • People who whine on their statuses.  I HAD a friend on Facebook where every other status was about how much she didn't want to work, how she always oversleeps, how she didn't want to work out and how her friends aren't treating her the way she deserves.  I think my favorite status was this: "To all my 'friends' out there, I just wanted you to know that I had to stay at a complete strangers house last night because none of you would take care of me".

If none of your friends want to take care of you when you're drunk, shouldn't that tell you that you are a sloppy drunk and no one wants to be around that?

Or the STUPID game invites.  I don't want to play your stupid game, please stop sending me requests. k thanks.

  • Pretty much everything posted so far.

Also, people who update their status 20 times a day.  Honestly, do they think people care exactly what they're doing all day long?

People who link their Twitter updates to their FB.  If I wanted to follow you on Twitter I would!!!

Couples who are super mushy and lovey on FB, if I want to tell DH I appreciate something he did and I love him I don't go to FB for that!!

I could go on and on and on...............

I agree with this too!!! I hate these vague passive aggressive statuses...  It is just a cry for attention.  My cousin does this all the time too!

Probably this is the biggest one, with the "I luv you super big" thing a close second!

Probably this is the biggest one.  I have some friends that do this all.the.time.

  • People who air their dirty laundry on Facebook and then get mad when people tell them they are stupid. I have a cousin who left her husband to be with another guy, said guy did something to wrong her and they break up, but not before getting pregnant with his child, then gets back together with her husband. All of which she posts about on Facebook as it happens. Then gets mad when people judge her.

I completely agree Amy.  I'm friends with a couple that constantly write back and forth to each other on their walls.  I don't doubt that they're that "in love" but it just seems so superficial when they're laying it all out there for everyone to see.  It's like they do it just for the attention.  I finally had to "hide" them it got so annoying.

It irritates me that my BIL (who is older than me, mind you) writes everything like he's a 13 year old thug.  His profile picture is always either one of two things.  1. Him taking his own picture in the mirror with his cell phone, while wearing no shirt. or 2. An up close face shot up him in a hoodie. Hmm

This was his last post, just to make things clear "Now make that muthaf%$*er hammertime!".  Yeah.  I don't even know.

I also can't stand it when people have the # sign in everything.  I'm just so #over it.
