Good Morning!

Morning ladies! It?s already Thursday--where did the week go?

QOTD: Which kitchen appliance is your favorite?

Re: Good Morning!

  • I'm glad the week has been moving quickly for you...it feels so slow over here.  Just work today and I think I am starting to get sick.  I woke up to a sore throat. So happy tomorrow is Friday.

QOTD:  I honestly have no clue... I like to bake, but do nearly everything my hand.  We don't have room for a blender or Kitchen Aid, sadly.

  • Good Morning!  I know the week has flown by.  I feel like I should have done so much more.

QOTD:  I use my slow cooker most, but I really love my mixer.  At home, it was hands down my waffle maker, but I gifted that to my parents/brother when I moved here.

  • Morning! I am happy that it is Thursday. Cant wait for the weekend.

QOTD: My kitchen is way too small. I am happy that I have a toaster.

  • I also can't wait for the weekend. I've been stressing a lot lately and I just need to relax and take advantage of some me time.

QOTD: We just bought an indoor grill and I'm really enjoying it.

  • The weekend cannot come fast enough, I think. I?ve been trying to download some software, but without sucess. Boo.

QOTD: I really like my hand blender. I think it?s the most-used piece in the kitchen.

  • Roll on the weekend... though I've 2 long days before that I reckon... Only 2 more Friday's to work and then no more Friday's until at least May!!

QOTD: That would be a toss up between my Kenwood Chef or the hand held blender.  I always wanted a Kenwood Chef (my mum has one) and when we moved to this house I went out and bought one that morning and it was the first thing to be moved into the house, straight from the shop!! Bought it with a gift voucher that we'd been given ages before.  And I love baking!  The hand held blender is an old friend that I use for blitzing soups and now also for pureeing baby food (though that is near an end).

So I love both, but the smaller one gets used a lot more frequently...

  • I miss my super fancy coffee maker that I could program the night before and wake up to a full pot of freshly ground coffee. Here, all we have is a Nespresso capsule coffee maker and I am not awake enough in the morning to fiddle with it.

I won't be replacing the coffee maker now that I am in France, but I do think I will get another hand-held immersion blender for soups and stews.

  • Morning! SIL has been visiting the past week so it's been busy & quick here! So glad it's Thursday (our Friday)!!

Looks like we're heading out with friends for drinks after work.  Should be a good start to the weekend.

QOTD: it's a tie between my hand mixer & food processor (which I just learned you can make frosting in)!

  • Good morning!

I'm sore and OMG exhausted after my figure skating class last night! I was sweating by the end, and then I stuck around for an hour to practice and meet up with a friend who was coming by to skate. I'm so excited because it was just one class, and I learned so much! I couldn't understand anything the instructor said, but I was able to watch carefully and pick a lot of it up. I just wish that I could socialize with the other women in the class, but they're all speaking Norwegian. Sad

QOTD: Aside from the basics (Is a microwave considered a basic? Because it's a godsend for leftovers), either the espresso machine of the rice cooker. Probably the rice cooker. I've never been able to cook rice without a bunch of it sticking to the bottom of the pot!

  • GilliC -- will you be taking more ice skating classes? That sounds fun.

As for me, ugh, I am so exhausted today.  I just feel like banging my head against the wall.  Or sleeping.  Either/or really.  DD slept horrendously and that means I did too.  Even H, who usually gets to sleep straight through, had to get up to help me because I was not handling it well.  Now it's morning and as a result of not getting enough sleep (I think) DD is fussy fussy.  This afternoon I'm teaching an english class.  It will be a welcome break.

QOTD: My slow cooker is a god.

  • Morning!

Just got home from a run. Feels so good, but was it ever cold up in the hills today.

I'm ironing H's shirts today and helping him pack for his trip tomorrow. It will be nice to have a week on my own so I can catch up on my shows online and eat whatever I want!

    QOTD: My Nespresso machine.

I was a figure skater! I competed until I was 18 and gave it up for college. I love ice skating, I hope you liked it! It's difficult, but so much fun.

I'm having a "slumber" party tonight with my 4 yearold neice and my SIL. It should be a lot of fun!

QOTD: My nespresso machine! Besides that, I really like my bread maker.
