Don't know if you ladies have been out and about on the internet today, but sites like google and wikipedia are making it clear of their distaste of the potential new laws censoring the internet. As a technology teacher I cannot tell you how detrimental this would be. I understand that stopping piracy is important, but these potential laws barely do that. Imagine the bumb.com being blocked because someone posted a video or link to a video or photo that was copy righted, that website found out, and the government shut down the entire site thanks to PIPA. THE ENTIRE SITE - same goes for twitter, facebook, youtube, etc! what a world we live in when "free speech" is a fallacy.
check out some of these links and def sing the petition and contact your local rep to end these bills! i'm typically the most anti-political person you'll meet but this one really hits home!

Already signed the petition and emailed my Congresswoman! This would be so detrimental on SO many levels! Congress needs to think of something more effective against piracy and less detrimental on individual access to technology!
It's pretty amazing how quickly and broadly internet companies like Google and Wikipedia can get word out, huh?
